Why are these the worst? Because out of the many thousands that I've removed from people's computers, these appear to be very legitimate, helpful software packages. When installing them, you think you're doing your computer a favor and getting a great bargain, but beware...

If you have any of these programs on your computer, I recommend that you remove them immediately! Then you should run spyware and virus scans on your computer using legitimate spyware and antivirus programs!

Also, if you do not see these programs listed in your computer, but you see web site ads asking you to install these programs for "better protection", ignore them and do not install these programs!

All of these programs claim to give you better protection or to add more functionality to your computer, but they are bogus! They install spyware on your computer, open up your computer to virus infections, and they may also ask you to buy them with a credit card! Never, ever pay for a program with a credit card that you are not familiar with!
