ConsumerSoft blatantly rips off computer users...

Consumer Software International, Inc, founder of MyFasterPC.com launched a national TV ad campaign to promote the MyFasterPC computer repair and optimization software, which is supposed to clean up your computer better than any on-site computer consultant. But don't be fooled, numerous reports around the web show that this site is a fraud, and that this software does nothing to improve the performance of your computer whatsoever. In fact, experts that have tested this software have found that it simply charges your credit card, and that's it. Some people across the web have even reported that MyFasterPC is in fact spyware, and once installed on your computer, it's capable of watching your internet shopping habits and sending you ads for illegitimate garbage and hokey "as seen on TV" products.

This is not the first time that evil software leeches like these have developed fake speedup software to trick consumers into giving up their credit card numbers. You may remember an article I wrote a while back called FinallyFast.com is Spyware! The "bait and switch" software scam artists, called Ascentive Software, who developed FinallyFast.com are very similar to the MyFasterPC.com company ConsumerSoft, and have been ripping off people the same way for over a year now. I'm sure that if you watch any TV at all that you've seen those cheap overplayed FinallyFast.com commercials more than once by now.

This is how these con artists operate, beware of them! Trisha Burns, the Senior Director of Sales and Marketing at ConsumerSoft, claims: "We know that it's not always practical for PC users to have their systems repaired by technicians or employ an on-site repair service especially in this kind of economic landscape. With MyFasterPC® software, we offer consumers a fast, easy, and affordable way to clean and improve your PC's functionality and to maintain that enhanced performance with just a few clicks of a mouse." As you can see, these blood suckers use the fact that people who are suffering from the poor economy will supposedly save a boatload of money by using their software to fix your computer "with just a few clicks of a mouse." Give me a break! Those of you who have been my customers for a long time know that I'm honest and straight up with you on every visit, about every problem that you have, and that 99% of the time "just a few clicks of a mouse" are NOT going to fix your problems!

So, I'm forewarning all of my customers, and everyone else with a computer for that matter: DO NOT believe these "quick cheap fix" TV commercials, web site ads, or print ads! Trust me, there is no such thing as a simple piece of software that will fix all of your computer problems with a few mouse clicks, if there were, I would be using it on every single computer house call that I make!

Beware of MyFasterPC.com, as well as FinallyFast.com, and any other computer con artists that try to rip you off with these one click fix deals. If you ever come across them in your web travels, DO NOT give them your business, or your credit card number, because they are scam artists!

CONSUMERSOFT UPDATE ON MYFASTERPC!

On April 8th 2009, a shady representative named "Rob" from ConsumerSoft sent me a extensive email, basically stating that all of my points in this article were unfounded, except that their MyFasterPC product is supposedly better than FinallyFast and supposedly does not contain any spyware, viruses, or threats. "Rob" also stated that I had no facts to back up my opinions on their product, and that their product is supposedly superior to all other similar products offered on the web. The overtone of his entire email was written in a legally-threatening manner as well.

My response, including proof of this article, to "Rob" from ConsumerSoft follows...

Norton Safe Web: "The same as all rogue registry cleaners:It shows fake problems to trick you into paying. And that's only part of the problem! The webmaster goes snooping around scorecards like these to disagree with comments such as mine."

a-squared Malware-Info: "MyFasterPC is a rogue security program that shows false Warning messages. It also shows misleading scan Results..."

Switched: "Most Speed-Up-Your-PC Programs Are Bogus... ...Out of curiosity, he installed My Faster PC just to see what it would do to his computer. As it turns out, it didn't really do a thing -- other than milk him for $30..."

Spyware Signatures: "MyFasterPC is a rogue security program that shows false Warning messages. It also shows misleading scan Results..."

Just as it states in the previous article, most "speed up your pc" software products that you see on TV, that you see in popups and banner ads, are all fake, bogus programs that DO NOTHING to improve your computer, other than to scare you into paying the frauds to fix the fake problems that they supposedly found in their scans!

IN SUMMARY

If you truly want a faster, cleaner computer, you MUST hire a seasoned local on-site computer repair technician, a human being (like myself), to come and clean up your system at least once a year, and to give you advice about antivirus, anti-spyware, and other forms of legitimate protection for your computer. These idiotically fake scams and TV commercials about "software that you download" that supposedly fixes or speeds up your PC should be investigated by the Federal Government and shut down, to protect you, the consumer, from fraud!

Before you ever go to any of these web sites, or download any files from these sites that claim to fix your computer, simply do a Google search on the name of their service (MyFasterPC, or FinallyFast, for example) before you use them. You will see hundreds of search results that PROVE, beyond reasonable doubt, that their product is a scam. This is because no software on earth can fix your computer better than a real human being with technical expertise, there is no software that is artificially intelligent enough to make the practical decisions that a human tech can make for your computer.

As a side note, I will not be threatened, legally or otherwise, by naive representatives like "Rob of Consumersoft" or anyone else for that matter. I am an American (4th or 5th generation), this is a free country, and I exercise my Freedom Of Speech in all of my bluntly honest reviews, and I will not be swayed by anyone to hide God's honest truth from my customers, or from anyone else who may read my articles. And, I also have a lawyer!
